The COTY Natural Therapies clinic offers treatments to the public from qualified staff practitioners or student interns at a substantially reduced cost, as part of our vocational training program.
The clinic is an important part of our unique student-centred training college, since it allows our students to practice in real-life settings and clinical situations under the guidance of our expert practitioners. All our student clinicians have been highly-trained and specialise in a range of natural therapies suitable to treat a wide range of illness and conditions.
Treatment options include:
- Remedial yoga therapy
- Shiatsu massage
- Oriental Therapies including Gua Sha, Cupping, Ear Candling
- Acupuncture & TCM (specialist practitioner clinic only)
What to Expect
Appointments vary from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the modality.
During your initial consultation, you will be asked a range of questions relating to your health concerns and their impact on your daily life. The practitioner may ask you to complete yoga movements and postures, observe your facial colour, study the colour of your tongue, and also palpate your pulse. Based on this diagnostic information, you will be advised of an individual treatment approach (related to your signs, symptoms, and underlying cause).
We ask that you wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment.
